| School Closings
When Greenwich
Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather,
school buses will not run and Sacred Heart will
close. Upper, Middle and Lower School class representatives
will be called by the division head to initiate
a phone chain for each class when there is a delayed
opening or cancellation.
When Greenwich Public
Schools have a delayed opening, Sacred
Heart, along with other Fairchester Independent
Schools, has the option to close or to determine
our own time for a delayed opening.
Listen to the radio or TV for information regarding
delayed busing in your area.
For early School closings
in case of inclement weather, please listen
to the radio in order to leave the switchboard
open. The School will also use the Parental E-mail
Communication System to notify parents of the
School's decision to close.
For emergency closings,
the School will use the phone chain as well as
the Parental E-mail Communication System to notify
parents of the School's decision to close.
Parents Please Note: Parental permission
must be given for changes in students' travel
plans. No Lower or Middle School student will
be allowed to leave on a school bus unless we
are assured that there will be someone at home
to receive the child. If possible, please call
your child's appropriate division office to provide
this permission.
