Multiculturalism
Students of color and international students comprise 21% of the student body. There are a number of groups throughout the school that focus on the multi-cultural aspects of the community; Network School Exchange program that has both national and international opportunities.
Community Life There is a very active Parents Association comprised of numerous committees. Activity-based after-school program for grades K-8. Middle and Upper school offer student-run clubs; student government; visual and performing arts programs; intramural and interscholastic varsity and junior varsity sports programs. All students participate in community service.
College Placement At CSH, looking for the appropriate college is treated as a continuation of the student’s education; each student is encouraged to be self-reliant and thoughtful, making choices that are individually suitable and challenging. Financial Aid Sizeable need-based program. Application deadline is January 1. About 18% of enrolled families receive financial aid. Additional assistance available for uniforms, books, transportation etc. All families, whether they receive financial aid or not, are offered a 10-month payment plan.
