Barat Foundation
Reverse the Course:
Reverse the Course enables girls in underdeveloped countries to attend school by supplying them with tuition, boarding, uniforms, and textbooks. Upper School student Mary Grace Henry started Reverse the Course, which now funds students in Uganda, Kenya, Paraguay, and Haiti.

Waterside Elementary School:
Waterside Elementary School is a co-educational Pre-K-5th Grade independent school that serves children and families in the Stamford area regardless of financial limitations.

Helping Hands for the Homeless and Hungry, Inc:
Organized by members of churches and synagogues in Rye and Harrison, Helping Hands distributes food, school supplies, cash grants, toiletries, and clothing to needy people.

St. Charles Lwanga Health Center:
The St. Charles Health Center is a 24-hour clinic in Kenya dedicated to serving HIV/AIDS patients in Kenya. Sr. Irene Cullen, RSCJ, is instrumental in running the clinic.

St. Madeleine Sophie Home and Educational Center for Special Needs:
The Home and Educational Center is the only home for mentally and physical challenged people in the Lugari District of Kenya. Sr. Irene Cullen, RSCJ, is an essential member of the team responsible for the Home.

Laina Saba Primary School:
The Laina Saba School serves children living below poverty level in the Kibera slums of Nairobi, Kenya, by providing students with nutritious meals as well as education. Sr. Irene Cullen, RSCJ, has been instrumental in establishing and maintaining this school.

Child Guidance Center of Southern Connecticut:
The Child Guidance Center focuses on the prevention of violence and suicide among young people. The Center stabilizes emergencies in the home, at school or in the community.

ZanaAfrica provides sanitary needs and health education to girls in Kenya. This assistance enables Kenyan girls to attend approximately six more weeks of school each year.
