Reflective of the Sacred Heart Goals & Criteria, the Center for Research, Teaching and Learning provides a structure for inspiring meaningful leadership, informal learning, and professional growth and development opportunities.
In 2013, the Sacred Heart Center for Research, Teaching and Learning (CRTL) was founded to foster the design, development, and integration of inspired practices for preschool through twelfth-grade learner-centered instruction. The Center functions as an in-house professional development community, in which group members actively collaborate in meetings, projects and activities intended to promote the scholarship of teaching and learning, pedagogical development, curricular innovation, and community building. The CRTL mission and global outreach include initiatives to streamline, curate and archive resources, find innovative ways to build capacity and efficiency, and prepare the Sacred Heart community to meet the demands and challenges of a global society.
