Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year! I am happy to introduce 71 recent graduates to the Alumnae Association and look forward to connecting all of our alumnae to our alma mater in the upcoming year.
For decades, the Alumnae Board has served as a representative voice for alumnae. It works to ensure that your interests are understood by the School while working to support Sacred Heart’s mission. As President of the Alumnae Board, my goal is to connect you with each other and with the School, both socially, professionally and philanthropically.
Socially: Sacred Heart hosts many complementary events throughout the country each year. This year, events will be held in Connecticut, New York, Washington D.C., Missouri, and Florida. More information on these events can be found in the monthly Alumnae Au Courant.
Professionally: Sacred Heart’s alumnae network offers a resource for alumnae to network with each other as well as mentor and employ alumnae and students (shadow program), more information can be found here.
Philanthropically: Sacred Heart relies on the philanthropic support of alumnae in various ways. The Fund for Sacred Heart supports operating needs and is the School’s philanthropic priority, our biennial Benefit supports the Endowment, and Give From the Heart, our annual day of giving for alumnae, supports financial aid. Your alumnae support, of any amount, is essential for Sacred Heart to remain true to its mission.
There are many other ways! I also encourage you to volunteer at Come Home for Christmas, follow the School on social media, and serve as ambassadors of Sacred Heart in your community.
Thank you for all that you do to support Sacred Heart, I look forward to the exciting year ahead.
