Where young women become global leaders

Distinguished Alumnae share Career Advice, Reflect on Sacred Heart Greenwich Experience

This morning, Upper School students were treated to inspiring presentations from three accomplished and dedicated Sacred Heart Greenwich alumnae during the annual Alumnae Career Morning:
  • Dr. Julen Harris '04, First-Year Pediatrics Resident Physician at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (B.A., Brown; Master of Public Health, Columbia; Doctor of Medicine, University of Minnesota Medical School)
  • Vance Hynes '01, Assistant County Attorney, Litigation Bureau of Westchester County   (B.A., Brown; JD, Fordham University School of Law)
  • Danielle Cavanna Ogden '99, Associate Director of Academic Programs at The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum and Adjunct Professor at Fairfield University (B.A., Trinity College; Master of Art History, Boston University; Master of Education, Harvard University)
Each woman shared stories of how Sacred Heart Greenwich influenced her decisions before, during and after college to ultimately lead her to her chosen career.

Students in attendance gained insight into how skills honed at Sacred Heart - from risk-taking to relationship development - impact life well beyond King Street and uniquely prepare women for lives of leadership, no matter the field. Additionally, students with interests in medicine and law left with specific tips on how to best prepare for transitions into those fields.

Stay tuned to the April issue of Horizons magazine and our website for more on the morning's inspiring presentations.
