Where young women become global leaders
The David J. Bloom Broadcast Suite includes a control room, editing room, green screen, recording room, and even the actual Today Show set donated by NBC in honor of David Bloom.

It is a welcoming space for students to learn how to operate cutting edge equipment from cameras to teleprompters to the Tricaster video system.
DAVID BLOOM

David Bloom was a Sacred Heart Greenwich parent as well as a dedicated and charismatic reporter and anchor for NBC news. Mr. Bloom died from deep vein thrombosis while covering the invasion of Iraq in April 2003. He was 39 years old.

Mr. Bloom was passionate about the School’s Broadcast Journalism program. Before his last trip to Iraq, Mr. Bloom made a call to Sacred Heart administrators to discuss how he could help to expand Sacred Heart's Broadcast Journalism program.

In 2006, NBC generously donated the Today Show set that Mr. Bloom had worked on to Sacred Heart Greenwich in his honor. Two of his three daughters followed in his footsteps by joining our Broadcast program and serving as anchors for "Today from the Heart."
